SUNRISE FESTIVAL is returning to Aotearoa in September 2022!

Sunrise Festival is a startup festival by Blackbird Ventures. Hosted on September 6 at ASB Waterfront Theatre in Auckland. In 2022, the ambition is to inspire, provoke and challenge our community to imagine what could be.

Be inspired by the creative minds shaping our future, get up close and personal with NZ's best startups and meet your co-founder, mentor or new best friend.

Over a day of inspiration and provocations, the program includes:

• The minds behind NZ's most ambitious startups, including Craig Piggott of Halter, Alliv Samson of Kami, Vaughan Fergusson of Vend and Fia Jones of Astrix Astronautics

• More than 300 attendees who identify as founders or aspiring founders keen to meet potential investors

• Exclusive festival app that uses AI to make suggestions for people to meet and connect with during the festival

Sunrise is created by Blackbird, a venture capital fund investing in Australia and New Zealand’s most ambitious startups. Sunrise was created in 2014 as a love letter to founders, and in the years since has sold out five years of festivals, hosted more than 4000 travelers and met more incredible people than we could even count. Blackbird can’t wait to do it all over again in 2022.
