Busy few weeks for Wanaka’s startup ecosystem

Wanaka has been busy with Startup Queenstown Lakes’ events over the past few weeks. 

We hosted ‘Entrepreneurs Drinks’ a few weeks back, which was a huge success. We had about 60 people turn out for the networking event at B.Social Brewery.

This was an opportunity for our local startup community to get to know some of the SQL team, initiated with a panel discussion. CEO Olivia Wensley was joined by Board Member Richard Liew alongside Wanaka Business Coach Jinene Clark. 

The formal discussion was followed by mingling and networking. It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces getting involved. We also received some great feedback from the attendees – see below.

This Wednesday (July 7) we are set to host our first Wanaka movie evening at Ruby’s Cinema.

Outside the Valley follows two adventurous entrepreneurs around the world. We had a great turn out and the movie was a hit among the attendees.
