Start Up Queenstown Lakes is excited to host the Wanaka premiere movie evening with Outside The Valley. Outside the Valley follows J. Ryan and Hunter as they travel to Portugal, Uruguay, New Zealand, and Mexico to learn about startup ecosystems outside of Silicon Valley. Told through the lives of founders who are trying to build great companies, coronavirus strikes and tests everyone’s resolve.

Outside the Valley is an inspirational inside look at startup communities in several unexpected places around the world, told by founders and technology experts in each location. 

The story unfolds in 4 countries: Andy and Maca are breaking barriers in Mexico's new eCommerce economy with their natural beauty products company. In Uruguay, Pablo aims to improve healthcare by aiding surgeons with 3D printing and imaging. John introduces us to several founders in New Zealand that all look beyond their borders to be successful. And, Pablo is part of the surge of startups in Portugal since the 2008 Great Recession.

Produced by Churro Media, Outside the Valley is the 8th feature release from producer/director Hunter Weeks, and EHF fellow, whose credits also include 10 MPH, Ride the Divide, and Where the Yellowstone Goes. Global keynote speaker, executive coach, and EHF fellow J. Ryan Williams produces and stars.
